There’s never been a better time to connect with our landscape and a culture that goes back millennia.
No other country rivals the human history and culture of Australia, yet so often we prefer to escape overseas rather than explore the treasures in our own backyard.
Meanwhile, foreigners flock here and spend around $7 billion (in a normal year) to experience our continent’s unique Indigenous culture.
With international travellers out of the picture, and all of us confined to country for now, we’ve got the perfect excuse to go walkabout. I’ve already made a list of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led tours I plan to do, just as soon as we’re able.
